Amoxicillin 1000 mg + Clavulanic Acid 200 mg Injection
- Description: A parenteral combination of a penicillin antibiotic and a beta-lactamase inhibitor to overcome bacterial resistance.
- Composition: Sterile mix containing Amoxicillin Sodium equivalent to Amoxicillin 1000 mg and Potassium Clavulanate equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 200 mg.
- Indication: Severe infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and intra-abdominal sepsis where beta-lactamase-producing organisms are suspected.
Dosage: Administered by slow intravenous injection or infusion. Adults typically receive 1.2 g every 8 hours, increased to every 6 hours in severe.
